QHSE Manager
Key Responsibilities:-
- Setting objectives and strategies for the department & Carrying out Analysis for the same biannually.
- Develop the departmental strategy, policies, and procedures in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Establish the business targets of the department and actively contribute to the development of the departmental performance management system
- Ensuring QHSE strategies and processes support company-wide goals.
- Developing schedules and methods for measuring results
- Develop and Maintain QHSE systems; implement and audit to achieve compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Manage the implementation of QHSE in line with Company policies, procedures, and international HSE standards and regulations.
- Maintain a contract risk register, reviewing QHSE risks and escalating where appropriate.
- Apply the proper budgeting plan according to company policy.
- Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the Department to create a culture that prioritizes effective QHSE.
- Co-ordinate the activities of the various Government institutions and other Agencies.
- Serve as an expert within the field of QHSE when called upon to address regulatory agency compliance issues and third-party safety & liability issues
- Confirm the Implement corrective actions as it relates to the incidents and ensure “lessons learned” are communicated throughout the Organization and are incorporated into the program, as necessary.
- Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to all staff within the organization
- Oversee the infrastructure in the organization to ensure proper implementation of QHSE practice.
- Following up on audit activities in order to verify & recording the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions taken.
- Developing and recording KPIs related to QHSE to enable the monitoring of performance and the identification of areas for improvement.
- Verifying the Quality System Manual and Procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with Quality & HSE Policy through the management Group Safety meetings.
Skills & Qualifications:-
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in science – agriculture - engineering
- Relevant professional diplomas/certifications such as NEBOSH diploma.
- Lead Auditor ISO 14001:2015 - ISO 45001:2018
- QHSE-related courses and certifications
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in industrial health safety and environmental experience at the Managerial level, of which at least 5 years in a similar position.
- Expertise in the terminal operation of at least 5 years is preferred
