TMT Welcomes the First Mother Vessel to Alexandria Port: MV CMA CGM THAMES
Trans Misr Terminal (TMT) is proud to announce a historic milestone for Alexandria Port with the arrival of the first-ever Mother Vessel, the MV CMA CGM THAMES operated by CMA CGM. This monumental event highlights TMT’s transformative impact on port operations and its growing role as a regional hub.
The MV CMA CGM THAMES, with a Length Overall (LOA) of 300 meters and a capacity of 9,365 TEUs, berthed at TMT under the PHOEX service. This premier service connects the Far East with the Adriatic Sea, solidifying Alexandria Port’s position as a pivotal link in global trade routes.
The arrival of such a large vessel at Alexandria Port marks a significant advancement in the port’s capabilities, enabling the handling of larger vessels and increasing transshipment operations. By accommodating vessels of this scale, TMT is enhancing the port’s competitiveness, supporting Egypt’s maritime strategy, and unlocking new opportunities for regional and international trade.

We thank all our stakeholders for their trust and partnership in making this milestone a reality. TMT remains committed to driving innovation and excellence in port operations, paving the way for Alexandria Port to become a leading hub in the Mediterranean.
